Jimmy Warren, WARRENized blues, excellent guitar master Blues from Chicago
June 18, 2010 05:24 AM PDT
Te boeken bij bluesfarmrhinetown@yahoo.com A seasoned musician with heart and passion, Jimmy Warren performs with a powerful magnitude. Jimmy's over the top guitar playing display's his influence from the great players Jimmy has enjoyed over the years. Artists like: SRV,Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, Joe Satriani & Steve Lukather. Jimmy's love for the guitar is displayed in his diversity and meshed style. Jimmy is a powerhouse guitarist mixing blues & rock to create a sound that is WARRENIZED blues. Over the years Jimmy has performed with some of the best national & regional artist. Such as: Buddy Miles, Jr. Wells, Buddy Scott, Sugar Blue, Left Dizz, Little Mack Simmons, Nate Turner & many more.... Jimmy Warren has opened for Pat Travers, Koko Taylor, Lonnie Mack, Delbert McClinton, REO Speedwagon, Chris Duarte, Anson Funderburg & the Rockets, Mike Morgan & the Crawl and others. Live version of Chris' Whitley's poison girl, from his debut cd LIVIN' with the law, which was and still is a masterpiece for all americana, blues and roots fans. LINK: http://www.chriswhitley.com Tinariwen "Nar Djenetbouba"
December 03, 2006 12:08 AM PST
TINARIWEN: Amazing blues from the Sahara desert. The band actually formed in 1982 in Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi's rebel camp, but these desert warriors soon concentrated on their Malian homeland. As with their countrymen Ali Farka Toure and Boubacar Traoré, there is a direct line between Tinariwen's desert songs and the blues. Composed of six guitarists-vocalists, a percussionist, and three backup singers, the group plays hypnotic blues figures. When Robert Plant first heard this band perform he stated this was the music he was searching for his whole life! Yes folks: this is music from blues' motherlode Africa once more!!
